Thanks for letting us know. We will be in prayer for him and his family. (I actually attended BC with Tanya a century or so ago.)

Noticed on the POA webcast that they are praying for his "release".

What an awesome man of God!!

Prayed here in SW Ohio for Bro. Lumpkin.
I only attended ABI for one year, 1956/1957.
Bro. Lumpkin was there with his wife and two small children, Mickey and Jimmy. He was a first year student also.
Bro. Lumpkin was president of our first year class.

Hi Bro Strange!

You call him Seargent. Was he military?

I was reared on Craig AFB, Selma, Alabama, and heard that the Lumpkins were stationed there at one time. And that Mickie was even born there.

If so, she shares a birthplace with Mia Hamm. (how trivial can I get?)

I'm glad to see You're back, Bro

Thank you. I'm glad to be back.

Yes, Seargent Lumpkin took a certain amount of pride in his military service.

Yes, Seargent Lumpkin took a certain amount of pride in his military service.

If I remember correctly, at ABI he had help from the GI Bill and he supported his family by working as a car salesman.

Only once during the year did our first year class have charge of the Chapel service and he chose me as speaker. I didn't do too well.
