Amazing AM Prayer Meeting

We had Corporate Prayer at 9 AM today and we had about 75 people, I guess. From the very first song that we started out with, the power of God came into the room so strong, it was awesome. It was one of those times when the presence of God was just so HEAVY, you were almost afraid to move or breathe. There was a prophetic word given by a lady and several people came up front to be prayed for. We prayed and travailed for many things and for many people for a hour; it was SO powerful.

I was so excited to look up and see my 18 year old son come in; most of the teenagers don't come to that morning prayer time, but today we had about a dozen of them. They were so into it; just hungering after the presence of God.

I can't wait for tomorrow's service. We have John Ragsdale here for three services tomorrow morning and night. He always does an awesome job. Tomorrow night we are having a special emphasis for people who want the Holy Ghost baptism.

You're so sweet, Barb! Wish I could just reach out and hug you tonight.

Barb 04-21-2007 09:53 PM

Love this...

We thirst for You
We search for You
In a dry and barren land
W're longing for Your hand
To guide us to
A place where You
Can cleanse us with Your rain...
Baptize us once again
We thirst for You

Oh Lord we are waiting
Let Your river flow
Come flood our hearts again
Quench our thirsty souls

We thirst for You
We search for You
In a dry and barren land
W're longing for Your hand
To guide us to
A place where You
Can cleanse us with Your rain...
Baptize us once again
We thirst for You

I've been singing this song for days! We were riding the motorcycle and I was just singing and singing this (inside my full face helmet) and no one could hear me but God.

It is the cry of my heart tonight, girl...I was telling a friend tonight that when the phone line goes dead, when the mailman stops delivery, and when the internet is silent, there is a Source...that Voice that speaks and makes no mistakes.

He knows just the right words and speaks in a tone that brings just what we need.

Who wouldn't hunger to know Him more?!

Give us an update after the final Sunday night service.

Claiming the promise of Isaiah 44:3 for your services tomorrow:
"For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:"

In Jesus' Name
Amen

Good deal I'm happy to hear about this.

How great is the power of prayer! So glad to hear of the moving of God's Spirit.

This is awesome, but I was wondering....was this a prayer meeting or a service? You mentioned first song...man I tell you I hate trying to concentrate on prayer or hearing a prayer request when the music is going. It distracts me and with the volume I usually can't hear what people are asking for in prayer. Why do we have to have music so much? I pray every day by myself without music...so I know it can be done :-)

It's a once a month Saturday morning intense prayer service. We start with one or two worship choruses, and then go into just individual and corporate prayer. It's usually a "bit" planned, as to the direction we are going in agreeing in prayer, but this time the power of God just swept in at the very first and took over. I love it when that happens!!

Sunday services with John Ragsdale were awesome! He preached three times yesterday, and the altars were full. He preached yesterday AM on "The doctrine of the Duct Tape". It was about not pouring new wine in old wineskins, but believing God for completely new things. It was really good! Last night, he preached on being "in Christ" - very powerful word. We had an amazing altar service, and he spoke prophetically over us as a staff and the church.

We had thought we would explain about the baptism of the Holy Ghost and go in that direction (because so many of our people who are coming have never heard of it). But God had other plans for our service and it didn't really go that way. It was more of a deep healing for the entire congregation. It was another one of those times in the Spirit where it was so strong and heavy that you could barely stand in His presence.

I know that last paragraph won't make sense to some of you, but you have to understand that almost all of our people come from non-Spirit filled backgrounds and they are hungry for more of God, but they know NOTHING about receiving the Holy Ghost. Sometimes we just stop an altar service and he does a teaching about it, and then he asks for people to come up who want it, and we always have LOTS of people receive it. But it isn't an every service thing.
