Can We Survive ?
 

My wife and youngest daughter ,are leaving for Mexico tommorrow on cruise.
My baby daughter is in the gifted class at her school ,so this is a school trip.
Me and my oldest daughter are not going ,so I'll be taking care of her .
Can we survive ,seeing as how I can't cook ,and have trouble helping my daughter fix her long hair.
I guess I'll proably have to get my mother in law next door to help her with her hair.
But I trust we'll have a good time of bonding together.
Anyways my wife and my baby girl won't be back till saturday.
Well we'll eat at Taco Bell tommorrow.
But I believe we'll survive.

Wendy's has a 99 cent menu. You can eat cheap!

There are no Wendy's where I live ,but we got some microwave stuff in the frig.

You know since my wife will be gone ,I can buy some sardines ,cause she won't be here to forbid me not to eat em.

Scott, there's always canned food. Chef Boy Ar Dee comes to mind. Ravioli is pretty good. Plus, there's always a good old fashioned bowl of cereal. Let's not forget bologna and cheese either. Just live like ya did back in yer bachelor days and you should be alright.

Hey Rico maybe we can still get together and go fishing one day ?
Actually before I got married I lived with my grandmother who cooked me wonderful country food.

Canned food is easy to make because all you have to do is heat it up. Just make sure you don't turn the stove up on high and you should be ok. Microwave food is easy too.

Hopefully I won't have to spank that girl this week as she can be ornery at times.

Sometimes, kids that act up when other kids are around behave wonderfully when it's just them.

RICO her and her sister are in that fighting stage.
And boy oh boy do I have stay on top of them ,when I ask them to do something.
But hey I got a belt and they ain't too old to get a spanking if they need it.

Well, I could roll out the statistics, but what they say in a nutshell is...that men are more happy and live longer lives when married. If they divorce or a wife dies, the husband/ex-husband will marry again within 6 months to 2 years, but on the flip side...

Women who's spouse dies or they get divorced rarely remarry or if they do so it is after 5 or more years. The research shows that women are more self-sufficient, usually have to be re-trained or educated, and raise children before remarrying...

I said all that to say...God love ya Bro. Scott...I know it will be difficult but you will survive for a few weeks. :tiphat

Bro. Scott,

Of course you and your sweet daughter can survive. (I can do all things

through God who is my Strength!) What a wonderful time to work on your

relationship with your daughter. Just ask God to give you wisdom on what

to do. He's got plenty and we just need to ask. Don't be on the offensive

thinking about how difficult this child is. Have a great time together. Humor

helps! Laugh a lot together! Our children must not think of us as their enemy.

Keep it simple and relaxed. Walking together and talking together is more

fun to youngsters than you might think. Be patient! She will grow up much

too soon! As a parent, be firm when the need arises, yet friendly!

Brother Scott, may our Wonderful, Loving and Patient God give you much

wisdom and patience this week and when it's over, may your daughter say

in essence, "I didn't know Dad was so much fun"! He giveth more grace!

My girls are 11 and 14 so far me and my oldest are surviving ,but tommorrow hasn't come yet.HA HA

My wife just called ,they haven't left Mobile yet.

That song came out right around the time my mom and dad divorced, so it became my mom's official theme song. I bet I've heard that song thousands of times! LOL

We're making it ,ok and my daughter is doing ok ,except she called when I went to church for the men's prayer meeting ,she called while I was talking to the Pastor ,she was fussy cause she was hungry ,also I'm having to stay on her about doing her A.C.E. paces ,but we're doing good.

Bro. Scott,

He giveth more grace! We raised six, three of each, and they

all turned out loving God and their parents and each other. When

we do the best we can, He will do what we can't do. Our oldest

daughter just told me a day or so ago (they have five wonderful

sons, ages 9-23), "Mom, I am reminding myself of you more all the

time". We become much like that which we are following. Who is

leading us. Those who led me to a certain point have gone on

out of sight, but the God who led them is leading us right along.

We are the ones in the lead now. When we go out of sight, the

next in line will step up and take their place. Often I look into the

mirror and "see" my precious mother staring back at me. I remind

myself of her so much. But I have a lot of my daddy in me. I needed

both their input.

Bro. Scott, a father's relationship to his daughters are SO important!

Much of what I am today is because of my father, who was looking

to his Heavenly Father to show him how to guide me. I am SO grateful!

May our Heavenly Father direct you as you guide your precious daughters.

Hey Bro. Scott, I was in Foley, AL this past Thursday and Friday at a Renaissance seminar for preachers taught by Bro. Floyd Odom. How far are you from Foley? I am supposed to be back for Renaissance III in August some time and I would love to meet you and buy your family a good dinner at Lamberts! That is, if you survive the Mexico fiasco! :)

I'm about 65 miles north of Mobile ,I'm not sure how far I am from Foley.

Same here! I remember that my mom would put that record on, turn the volume up as loud as we could take it, and we would dance around the living room while singing into our fake microphones (usually a hairbrush or candlestick) :D
