Dear AFF,

Could we get something done about the smilies? It's a good thing. But it's WAAAAAAYYYYYY too much of a good thing. We do not need 6,277 smiles to choose from. Actually, I think it's 324, but seriously, sometimes I wanna use something besides the tried and true, :lol, :heeheehee, :toofunny, and :ursofunny, but dang it, I don't wanna spend 27 minutes searching for what I'm looking for.

I think it's time to prune the trees, clean house, trim the fat.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Although I have tried to memorize the ones I use the most, so I don't have to search.

I like having the wide selection. Since they're organized by happy, sad, mad, whatever..... I can usually find what I want quickly.

But they don't all fit exactly in the category in which they're placed. Like "bored". That's a great one but, I just went looking for it to use it as an example, and guess what? I can't find it!!!!! I don't know if it's in mad, upset, or other. That's ridiculous.

And a lot of it doesn't match the category, like the shockamoo (my official favorite, even though I would NEVER shockamoo). It's in "Happy" but most people who shockamoo in real life are really just expressing suppressed frustration than actually being happy.

And there's a bunch of stuff...I'd say at least half of this garbage...I've never seen used and is more of an inside joke between Admins and old-time posters. It's just taking up space.

I'm starting a crusade for a house-cleaning. It's time to separate the sheep-smilies from the goat-smiles!!!!

These instructions are helpful and appreciated. But come on, we don't need 17,225 smilies!! There are so many smilies, we could literally have entire threads and never say a word...just post smilies.

You're probably one of those people who keeps his closet totally de-junked, aren't you? Only own shoes that you actually wear? ;) I, on the other hand, need to own about 5,000 pairs of shoes because you just never know when you might need a pair that peculiar shade of orange. :D

Well yeah, but I don't call it a "Shoe closet"!:lol

There was a time in my life where I had a pair of black shoes (black can go with anything if you're not too particular) and a pair of tennis shoes and that was it.

I've graduated these days, meticulously match shoes and belt (and hat if I'm playing golf), and now have about 20 or so pairs of shoes.
