Why So Many Lebron Haters?

Quote:

When James left Cleveland to form a "superteam" (it sounds so funny now, doesn't it?) with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, he wasn't just giving Cleveland the finger or toying with us on national television. He was telling us that the entire enterprise doesn't matter -- the struggle, the connection with a city, any of it. The spoils are all that matter.

Lebron made the right decision to leave Cleveland. I think most people would have rather seen him win a title at cleveland on his own. He tried. It didn't happen. It was time to move on.

I even think he could have left Cleveland and still not have been "most hated."

He tried to form a Super Team, dissed Cleveland on national TV late into Free Agency (not giving Cleveland a chance to land some talent), etc.... he made some big errors and leaving Cleveland wasn't one of them.

But... he's the one counting the $$ (which could have been more if he would have joined a team without all his buddies).

I don't think he could have left and not been most hated. But then again its actually a good thing for him that he's most hated right now ;)

I definitely think if he would have bowed out early after the season ended, communicated in private instead of an ESPN special he'd have more friends -- even if Cleveland still hated him for awhile.

Probably doesn't help that he choked in the playoffs last year.

Larry, Michael or Magic never left, they stayed and waited until it was fixed ,he is a big baby ,he said the last time they lost to the Celts that the reason was, he played too many minutes (44 at what the age of 25 ? )give me a break ,he should be able to play 48. Jo Jo White played 60 one night in game 5 of the championship at the age of 30 scored 33 and dished 9.The problem is he aint a leader and he makes no one around him better ,He cant play defense, except to sneak up behind you and swat it and 2 he cant hit his foul shots. He isnt a team player, the previous 3 were.

The me generation. Immaturity and lack of loyalty and endurance.

I wonder how many players waited their whole careers for things to be fixed.

That's not it.

You're telling me Jordan or any other Hall of Famer wasn't a "me" person?

Good break-down.

Fortunately for Jordan they brought in key personnel. But let's face it, you're right, LJ is not a leader. He's an incredible player. But his championship appetite needs more development.

I think J.Frog is saying maybe they had too much fear to make a move? Knowing when to move on? When to start over somewhere else?

Right...or he could have done like Kobe and demanded a coaching change. Their coach stunk

It's a different game today. Back then most players stayed with their teams...Football was the same way.

Today a team can look completely different from year to year
