Scoffers on AFF
 

I have seen folks on AFF scoff at some of the signs before the return of Jesus Christ...

I hope they are not the very ones fulfilling this prophecy!...

2 Peter 3:3-4

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.



Strange to be seeing Apostolics laugh at end time signs like I see today(current events, false prophets, a soon cashless society etc.), but it WAS prophecied this would happen.:nod

It's easy to be misunderstood here, typing responses and all. You really can't guage the feelings behind what is written. People are also hiding behind fake names, monikers they have chosen with a picture to help the anonymity.

But deep down my brother people can feel the electricity in the air. Trouble on every side, unrest of the heart.

I only pray that the accomplishments of pride don't hinder the people of the name represented here.

God help us.

Not scoffing at real signs as written in the Bible. I am scoffing at false prophets like Jonathan Cahn-man who cash in on Christians ignorant fears.

Yup. Things are bad but they have been varying degrees of bad for a long time so we can't look at current world events without looking at the big picture of world events over time.

No doubt the world is getting worse with our culture / society in America on a downward spiral of foregoing any semblance of morality.

Having said that if you had lived during WWII and the rise of Hitler in Germany with all of the human atrocities that were done you would have had to have thought that was the end days.

My goal is just to be prepared so it doesn't matter if Jesus is coming this year or the next few or 100 years from now!

It takes cash money to buy and sell.

Just remove the cash exchange system and prevention/oversight of buying and selling will be accomplished.

Revelation 13:16 the mark χάραγμα isn't an implantable device, but an engraving, made with a signet, or sculpting tool, like a chisel.

In Revelation 20:4 specifically says upon their foreheads. In the Textus Receptus it literally says that upon the forehead and upon the hand. Nothing remotely close to something being injected or implanted.

ha well my theory is currently that those seeking God naturally go and look for other people who claim to have answers, and those people feel compelled to have answers for the people who come looking for them. As good a place to start as any, i guess.

You face the interpretation problem that all dispensationalists face.

There is no place in the Book that prophecies a cashless society. Nowhere.

So......

To say that scoffers against that false interpretation are a sign of the times....?

When you could be classified as a FALSE prophet because of your stance on that issue.

I am forever amazed that people can read into scripture what is not there in complete disregard to the command not to do just that.

Where pray tell me does these verses say anything about a cashless society, or a computer chip implantation. It speaks of a visible mark, period. If it were a invisible mark, most people are already lost for they already do most of their business with an invisible number they carry in their purse or wallet.

A cashless society eliminates ANYONE that tries to buy or sell without permission from the system.

However, people don't go looking for God of their own volition, except they are
called of God to repent! I am speaking regarding the God of Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob. In most cases, people that "find" God do so by hearing the preaching of the
gospel; others, stay "lost" because they heard a word that led them astray. They
are subsequently led to a false sense of righteousness or a false sense of salvation.
I believe each one of us fit into one of those categories.

Those who have not heard the calling of the Lord, strive with those who obey!

To say it is the ONLY way that the prophecy can be fulfilled just reveals your ignorance of the plans of God.

The Jews of Jesus' day rejected the Lord because they believed that the ONLY way that Jesus could be the redeemer is if he was a physical king. When He revealed another way then they rejected Him and His Kingdom.

God has His way, even if you don't understand it.

In Isaiah 55 look.

Isa 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

You want a cashless society? Here it is!!!

But wait! This is speaking of the CHURCH!!!! God supplies all within the church, without cash and without money!!!

CASHLESS SOCIETY!!!

"i need money to survive" is the biggest lie ever told, imo.hmm, i wonder if each of us might not fit in to more than one of those at a time--your last statement can certainly become self-serving. While i more or less agree with the analysis, i see this leading to a false sense of salvation, wherein those that have heard the gospel, and, say, respond to Acts 2:38, and do the works required by their church to be considered saved, then consider themselves immune from a false sense of righteousness or even salvation. We are led to assume we have arrived, and so stop searching for a deeper knowledge, instead becoming Bible lawyers; when the early Church did not even have Acts 2:38, but only Grace.

i wouldn't say that this is universal, but certainly prevalent.

Sean there is so much wrong with you thinking it is ridiculous, I for one hardly ever use cash, yet I buy and sell every day of the week.
A computer chip is no different than the debit card or charge care I carry in my wallet and use every day to purchase goods.
As has been said a mark is something visible on someones body by the very definition of "mark". IF this passage in Rev. is speaking of a literal mark, (as you know I don't) it would not matter is the system was cashless or not, you would have to have a literal tattoo that was visible on you right hand or forehead for this passage to be fulfilled.
