Satan opens eyes & God opens eyes - the difference

When satan led Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, their eyes were opened and they saw their nakedness that was always their state, but they never knew it before. And it led to shame.

But Paul prayed that our eyes be opened in Eph 1 to also see something that was always with s since our NEW CREATION, and it ENCOURAGES US! Paul said we have always had, since salvation, the same power that resurrected and enthroned Jesus upon us, and we just have not seen it!

Fruit of knowledge of good and evil versus fruit of Life!

I heard a preacher once talk about how Adam and Eve - prior to the fall - were clothed in the glory of God. It was because of their disobedience that the glory of God left them, and that's why they now saw themselves as naked. Thoughts?

Not to derail your thread (as if that ever happens here :heeheehee ), but your post reminded me of that.

Good thoughts.

I heard that thought before as well. But there is absolutely no grounds for it. Sounds cool, though. :D

Is this fulfilled eschatology vs partial preterism?

Not sure what you're asking.

Partial preterism is partially-fulfilled eschatology.

The tree of life is eternal life after the resurrection, Rev 21 right?

Sorry, Rev 22 is where we see the tree of life.

Still not sure how you're asking about that in reference to fulfilled eschatology.

The tree of life is eternal life now. It is not a literal Tree, I believe. The tree lines both sides of the river of life, and Psalm 2 ties that in with us as trees planted by the waters whose fruit and leaves remain, while the fruit and leaves are emphasized in Rev 22 on the tree. It's all related to Ezekiel 47.

Eternal life is conditional

Romans 2:6-8 ESV
He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

Eternal life is conditional to a future ressurection

John 5:25-29 ESV
“Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

We certainly can lose life, but Jesus gave us HIs Spirit and He is the eternal life, Himself. So, we already have eternal life, and the body will be rendered immortal in the resurrection, but that is physical eternal life.
