I noticed they have Bishop Paul Morton and Bishop Noel Jones preaching....WOW

Monkeyman 07-19-2007 12:06 PM

Sandra, my wife and her girlfriends just drove to New England to see sister Cece, and they said she has still got it. They had chuuuch!

Now to my question for ya, this a great venue that you are playing at, what is the best venue that you have sung at?

SDG 07-19-2007 12:10 PM

My Dad was a Winans FANATIC!!! One of the things I thought as I drove and listened to Vicki's CDs is that her music and sound has some Winans feel.

The Alicea family got to see the Winans ... all of 'em ....at the Beacon theatre in NYC years ago ... I wish I could make it to this event.

My dad would have loved Vicki's music ... especially to know that she has a Oneness heritage.

Just some thoughts.

for a UC you have some short sleeves there cowboy

Elizabeth 07-19-2007 12:46 PM

Sounds great!
I only wish that I lived closer--events like this rarely come to the Nor Cal area and definitely do not come to the Central Valley.

I always enjoy being with CeCe, she is a dear friend and the Pres. of Pursprings Gospel( my current lable). Cece signed me in 2003 , I was her first Artist. But.............I would have to say "Women Thou Art Loosed" Conferences with Bishop Jakes.

Sandra 07-19-2007 08:23 PM

bump for the folks in nashville!

Yes I did know that you were label mates! I memorize cd jackets, he he!

So, Jakes' conferences, cool! How many have you done? What is the background setting like. Do you get to interact/pray with other artists or the Bishop? Do they have nice green rooms?

Because of radio I have been able to help organize some good concerts including Rebecca St James, Big Daddy Weave, even Rachael Lampa. We always try to make the artist very comfortable and give them some down time if possible. Our upc church is pretty cutting edge because we allow the local christian station to take over our facilities to hold concerts. This has opened the door for our music ministry locally!

Do you run into old UPC friends on your tours? How are you received? Are many of your family still in the ark? (teasing) Who do you currently listen to for sheer enjoyment and who do you listen to for inspiration and or idea stealing? He he

Can you tell I like to do artist interviews???

*And now back to the music right here on Monkey Radio*:winkgrin

It was great last night, this was the first time I 've been around the P.A.W. group.
I texted TFT asking a little about them and he said they have the same doctrine as the UPC.
I mentioned from the platform that I was raised UPC and while I may look different I still love Jesus and still feel his annointing.
They were very receptive and we had a great move of GOD!
I couldn't tell you how many pastors came up to me mentioning preachers in the UPC.
I recieved many invitations , to many to count.
It was a great experience.

Margies3 07-23-2007 11:51 AM

CeCe's song "Blessed, Broken, Forgiven" should be required music at every communion service!!!!! Talk about POWERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
