I believe exactly what your pastor believes. In fact I have sat in and helped with the sessions he and my pastor did.So yes they can open those doors
and yes they can be oppressed.Possessed? hum....if they open the door long enough.

I saw it happen to a Teen. She was never the same after that.

Can a fountain contain both sweet and bitter water?

A Holy Ghost FILLED individual cannot be possessed of the devil. Oppressed and attacked? Yes, but why would you allow that to continue? Fasting and prayer are the tools of deliverance. The enemy is only as powerful as the power we ascribe to him. Demons did not have the power to keep the possessed from Jesus and had to beg Jesus not to torment them. If we are wearing our armour and have our sheild (which are Jesus) what can the enemy do?

BUMP!

Awesome!

This type of ministry was new territory for me after moving back here from TN. And I'm still learning. ;)

Sorry about that. An Admin can change it if so desired.

I just tried to get some conversation on this same subject.

To my disappointment, I don't think there are many on this forum who have experience in this area.

If they do, they are keeping it to themselves. Don't know why. We live in a day where this needs a lot of teaching on.

I think HOLY GHOST FILLED is the key phrase in the answer choices...

I think they can be "oppressed" but not to the point of needing "deliverance"....

and they cant be possessed if they are filled - IMO

My pastor has a deliverance ministry as well as others in my church. Since moving here from TN, I've been learning more about it. I was skeptical at first, as are most people with anything "new or different".

I believe alot of people won't talk about it because of the repercussions of voicing their beliefs. My pastor has taken some flak, for lack of a better term, because of his beliefs.

Even I hesitate to go into specifics on here. So I just made a general poll. ;)

I had a major experience with this sunday.

More people need to know what is going on and HOW to deal with it.

Good post.

I believe Bro. Bustard in his book "Killers in Hiding" said he had many experiences of casting spirits out of Holy Ghost filled people.

I have done a survey on a number of our highly respected ministers that says it is not possible.

I have the book and had the privilege of being in some services with Bro. Wm. Bustard before he died.

PM incoming shortly.

I knew that and it was a concern I am sure. You have probably the best pastor to learn it from.He taught a seminar to our church family and
everyone went through a session.Alot of good came from it.
Have you sat in on a session with him? That is where the most
can be learned.

2 Corinthians 6:14 - 18 (KJV) 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
I just can't see the Lord sharing the temple with the devil.........

I am amazed He would share with our rotten Human Spirits, of greed, anger, lust, etc.

We have done all kinds of deliverance through the years. We used to think you had to yell and scream, etc. to get rid of demons, or at least that's the way we'd seen it done. We've done some of that too. But we've found out that the best way for deliverance to come is through confession. When someone confesses something, it comes out of the darkness (Satan's place) and into the light. At that point, truth rules and demons leave. They cannot exist with light and truth!

The enemy loves a good fight and the bigger the scene, the more attention his imps get.

Amen the best sessions are ones where the person has been fasting and praying as have the ones praying.Going through repentance is mandatory.
