THE BHURKINI is here and thank GOD!!!

http://www.hyderabadi.in/wp-content/...1/bhurkini.jpg

Yay, the bhurkini has been introduced and I think it is fantastic and just in time for General Conference in Tampa!!!!

They are saying that this is the suit to keep women from drowning when they attempt to swim in their normal Bhurka robes.

Time magazine says that this suit is now catching on with conservative fundementalist Christian groups.

wow

What's wrong with your eyes? The woman has on pants - it'll never fly at GC!! :choir

CC1 07-27-2007 10:38 AM

I am afraid a no go for old time Pentecostals. While the head covering and top pass the test I clearly see pants on that woman in the pic!!!!!!!!!!!

No, those are just tights - - the top is up just a bit from the water, but once she's out of the water that top looks like it would go past the knees!

Did you forget that footless tights are a no-go???

Well we see women in burkhas with only their eyes showing occasionally here in supermarkets, on the streets, in shopping centers. Usually, their face is exposed but sometimes only the eyes showing.

Amazing to me how they can submit to this!

Brother Strange 07-27-2007 10:49 AM

Behold...

not considered to be pants for women!

Don't I see a frilly little 'skirt' thing?

This is why black is the traditional color, everything blends. :D

It would be more revealing if it were any other color, well maybe a mud brown color would be nice...er' appropriate.

I have even a better idea where we could combine a traditional swimsuit and the bhurka head piece so no one could see who you are wearing a bathing suit. You could hide your identity!! LIKE BATMAN!

:lol

No, wetsuits are much heavier and hotter. Apparently this little number is made of a light polyester which that allows freedom of movement and like I mentioned before will keep the broad from drowning.

:D

Maybe the old time Pentecostals will go with the immodest dress only version of the swimming suit! After all, I wouldn't want to mistake someone wearing that swimsuit for a man! :D

I was to the beach a couple weeks back and I think the burkhini or at least an adaptation of it should be considered by some of the women I saw there. Scarey!

The Lord knows that I don't want to see Blue Denum Whales in a swimsuit!!!!!

tbpew 07-27-2007 12:53 PM

when men's swimming clothes in the USA looked like about 85-90% of what this outfit looks like, did we think that the USA was being 85-90% run by the Taliban?

I don't think you have to go back much farther than the 1920's to find them as the standard outerwear for such activity.

Did we get smarter over time?

Men now swim in Speedo bikini swimwear and women are now so enlightened that they go swimming in a thong!

So, I am appreciative that there is still a minority of folks who actually are looking to find ways to enjoy the ocean without be naked.

I just finished a funeral video for a woman who was 79 years old when she died. One of the pics is a very sexy pose of her in a skimpy two piece bathing suit on the beach!!

I about fell off of my chair when I came to that picture!!
