Just curious, was it weird going to a UPC reunion obviously not looking like the status quo?...you know what I mean.

There had to be some long looks, stares, questions, and even some indifference?

I am curious because I actually admire the courage former UPC folks have when the either visit, or how those in the church respond/react to those who are out of the org.


BTW, Who's Thad? I think I may have actually seen him before.

I miss him too. He did bring excitement and fun to the forum.

Well, it wasn't a UPC reunion and it was held at Christ Church. However, there were many UPC friends there too. To me, I wasn't looking at who had on what, but seeing many friends from my past that were so great to see!

Probably over half the people at the reunion were no longer UPC, so it wasn't weird at all. I was so glad to see all my old friends, UPC and Non. It was great!

By the way, Thad is a Music Minister in the L.A. area, I think, at his brother's church.

btw......he has "people" that post his newflashes...so he still keeps things exciting in his own way :sshhh

Kinda right. HA! He is a Music Minister in California....not Southern....at a church his father founded.

I wish Thad the best. As much as I miss his "newsflashes", I am kinda glad he doesn't have to worry about getting into trouble in his church over them anymore.

The last time I spoke to him, he said the church was so much more busy he barely had time to lurk. THAT is a worthwhile reason indeed!

My sources tell me that Thad is devoting his energies to finding a Mrs. Thad.

He finally realized that his biological clock was ticking and that he had better get a move on.

Sadly things did not work out with Tawanda so Thad has had to move on. I hope he finds his true love, gets the honeymoon period over with in his marriage, then gets back to his friends here at AFF!!!!
