Fred Thompson's Wife

This is going to be interesting to follow. Looks like the lady has some brains. I'm glad to see that.

Fred Thompson's Wife

By Robert D. Novak
Thursday, August 2, 2007
WASHINGTON -- Speaking at his $1,000-a-ticket fund-raiser at the J.W. Marriott hotel in downtown Washington Monday night, Fred Thompson began by introducing "my campaign manager -- oh, I mean my wife." That little joke about Jeri Thompson reveals how the prospective Republican presidential candidate regards the attack on his intelligent, beautiful wife.

As the actor-lawyer-politician nears his long-awaited official announcement, Mrs. Thompson is slurred as a "trophy wife" 24 years younger than her husband -- privately by her husband's opponents for the Republican nomination and publicly by the news media. Even Thompson supporters grumble that Jeri, 40, is too alluring, should modify the way she dresses and even then should not practice her skills as a professional political operative on behalf of Fred, 64.

You're just JEALOUS!!!!!!!!

Seriously, if he is going to run I wanted to know something about his wife. I see she is not the airhead some have portrayed her as being. She's been involved in politics and therefore knows the game. That may not be all that is unearthed on her, but it is a good start and especially since they are suggesting she change her dressing style, which she will do until they have a party at the White House. :D

I assume you are talking about Juan Williams. That's just his way. I used to not like him, but sometimes his questions are good for rebuttal.

You're nutty PO. :killinme She looks trampy. I saw pics. She might have a brain but she sure could use some tips on achieving a classy look.

I'm sure she'll tone it down if he steps into the ring. I believe all of the First Ladies had a re-do.

Hilliary certainly did. I notice that when they say that Hillary is too manly she starts wearing more low-cut outfits. LOL! Like that proves anything, but it shows the mindset of the world.

Felicity 08-03-2007 09:49 AM

Some of them had re-dos but they didn't look cheap to start with. Her brain may work fairly well - I don't know - but how a person dresses says a lot about them in my opinion.

Coming out of Hollywood, I can see why she does dress that way. When she gets into another arena she will follow suit, no pun intended. :killinme

Actually, all the other candidates wives were dressed a little immodest, except for Romney's wife.

She's already in another arena.

Her intelligence or lack of it will be no guarantee of his success. Of course I know you know that.

I disagree. People do take the wife into account when considering the vote.

that is right, i personally dont think any of us should say anything bad about people we dont know, and isnt it amazing the double standard the dems have, they can call her a trophy wife, degrading her, but at the same time say all of the othere dem candidates wives are smart and helpful, whatever, Juan williams is one of them enough said, go fred, dt:killinme

Yeah. Well this is a man who's already been in politics for years. If he's popular enough and a strong enough person that will get him the vote, not his wife - but if she dresses like that it will be a problem I think. I'm wondering a little about the man's good judgment when I look at her sans her brains.

She more than likely won't be dressing like that - I don't imagine.

You're wondering about his good judgment? If he found a women that wanted to marry him after being divorced 17 years, at his age and she was younger......

Okay.

Okay.

No, Not the younger part. :) My point though Pressing is that she is already his wife. She's already in the arena. Good common sense would dictate you wouldn't go around looking sleazy like that and I have to wonder about his wisdom in the choice but hey, what do I know? I'm just an observer. I was really really surprised when I saw the pics is all especially after you had given her a thumbs up and because of the good things I'd heard about the man.

I don't think she looks trampy. Not in that expensive dress. :killinme

But, if it's a go, she will change.

Some are predicting he will crash around November, but you know how the news is.
