Where is MOW and why hasn’t there been some kind of announcement?

OK, it has been some time now and MOW is gone and has been gone for a while.
I have seen some odd posts that allude to this without actually saying anything definite .

MOW is one of the major players in the Admin team. I think he may even be an owner, but he is MIA.
What gives? What is going on, on AFF?

Felicity 08-08-2007 09:45 AM

I've been wondering too. He's still listed as a Moderator.

???

Ferd 08-08-2007 09:58 AM

Well, he has been gone for a week and generally when he steps away he says so. that isnt like him.

Sister Alvear 08-08-2007 10:01 AM

Maybe we all missed the rapture! ha.... love you folks...

rgcraig 08-08-2007 10:05 AM

Well, MOW is not an owner.

I'm pretty sure the rapture hasn't taken place because Sister Alvear is still here.

MOW has stepped down as moderator. He will be missed because he believed in the fun factor!!!!

Felicity 08-08-2007 10:06 AM

Has he left the forum? Why did he step down?

I just checked his profile and it's still here and his last sign in was 7/31.

Because he chose to step down.

Felicity 08-08-2007 10:17 AM

Well I'm glad he wasn't fired. :killinme

Interpretation? His leaving was the result of a disagreement so no one is saying why he left! :) It is obvious that had he would have said why he was leaving so suddenly unless there was some problem.

Why aren't you the optimist! :killinme

Some don't like all the drama that others do by making a thread announcing their intentions, perhaps that's it?

Well, at least when an Admin and Owner gave a reason for his absence, Thad did not offer an interpretation based on his assumption of what happened. :hypercoffee

So then you know what the rest of us don't, apparently.

Why the animosity bro?

Felicity 08-08-2007 10:38 AM

MOW will be missed. I'm sure he'll be missed off the Admin team as well.

Again....ASSUMPTION. Why would you think I know these things Felicity? Don't add or make others believe such. I have not been around here. But thanks for adding fuel and another element to the drama. Sheesh.

Animosity....Felicity, there is none. Why state that? Just why after an Admin and Owner gives a statement, does someone have to offer an interpretation of that comment as fact...based on assumption. I know you are protecting your husband here, that is fine, I just do not get why the added "interpretation" had to be given....

God bless you SoCal. I have no issue with you or anyone else. Peace.

Renda, I love you. You are wonderful. I find the above very hard to accept.

he is off Admin? No reason given at all? I think AFF deserves a better answer.

Steve Epley 08-08-2007 10:54 AM

He became a real ultra-con and no longer has internet!:nah

Why Ferd?

Why do any of us need to know anything about the staffing and issues behind a privately funded discussion board?

This is a chance to avoid probing around in search of some kind of "man-issue".

Otherwise, lets sell public shares for an apostolic discussion board and lets have board meetings where everyone gets as many votes as they own shares.

He will be missed and I see your point.

revrandy 08-08-2007 11:06 AM

I too want to know.. What Happened?

How could he be Admin and seemed to enjoy what was happening here and the next day gone??

Was he asked to resign?

Or did he just let it go?

:hmmm

rgcraig 08-08-2007 11:06 AM

I can understand demanding an explanation if it wasn't MOW's choice, but how can we demand a reason when it's the poster that has decided to leave?

Can we start demanding answers from all our posters on their personal lives?

PO,
IMO, Ferd's interest is not about making sure a venue to acknowledge appreciation for MOW is provided.

Do we believe that a discussion board is like some kind of public asset?

If FERD (just by way of example) paid all the bills, would he fully and completely disclose all the administrative comings and goings that involve any kind of staffing change?

Again, PO?, Ferd?, others?
why do we need to know the specifics behind a change in staffing of AFF operations?

drummerboy_dave 08-08-2007 11:13 AM

It's called being nosey.

Thanks, tbpew. I'll let others respond. I'm bowing out of the discussion.

God Bless,
