Champions Daughter Work?

I was looking for Church of Champions web site and found this one. Is the name coincidental or is this a daughter work of the WH Church in the Houston area? I'm not sure because this one says it's a nondenominational and I think the Houston area one still considers itself to be pentecostal.

The what we believe page is blank so I can't tell much about it.

Anybody got information on it?

So this Tennessee Church is out of Ken Philips place? Its strange that it has that same name as the one in Houston. That is what caught my attention.

OH! you didn't say anything about it being in TN.
I read it as though it was in TX.
I do know that even some UPC pastors are linking up with JS and Ken phillips yet remaining UPC. there is one in particular out here in CA. that has caused controversy over it.

I have a hunch it's probably just a coincidence but i could be wrong. a lot of churches call themselves "non denominational" even in the UPC in order to attract potential visitors who might shy away from Pentecostal

Sherri may know of this church especially if it's linked up with KH.

I'm sorry. I forgot to insert the link. I have edited it to show the link. Now the post should make more sense.

Sorry.

Shane West...I don't think they are affiliated but they used to be.

SDG 09-11-2007 06:57 AM

Shane West who was a UPCI pastor and evangelist pastors this church. He is also a professional web and graphics designer.

He is now with Acts 29 TV also. He has a partnership w/ Wendell Hutchins .... I don't know to what extent ... but they are friends.

The Houston COC website is champ.org

The pictures are of a church they are using very typical. Very deceptive.

I went to the doctrinal statement it was blank.

All I can say is good grief the drama never ends with him.

Gives a whole new definition of "They don't believe anything."

This Church of Champions in TN shows to be pastored by Shane West. I know that he used to be UPC. I don't know if he still is.

stmatthew 09-11-2007 10:29 PM

I heard he got up one time in one meeting and straightened out a bunch of UltraCons.

I've never heard of this church before; sorry.

ChicagoPastor 09-11-2007 10:54 PM

Is Shane West still UPC? His website says the Church is non-denominational.
He came out of a VERY conservative trinitarian group in California....can't remember their name but he said it was ULTRA con.
He's a real good evangelist.

This Church of Breakfast Champions church in TN is in Clarksville. Less than two hours from Nashville.

I had heard his name before. I think I stumbled across his website when he was a UPC evangelist a couple of years ago. I did not realize he was now pastoring and in TN.

CC1 09-11-2007 11:14 PM

According to his bio Shane West evangelized from 1991 until September 2006 when he began pastoring the Church of Breakfast Champions in Clarksville, TN
