MA Gas Explosions

"""Emergency services in Massachusetts are responding to a series of gas explosions in the Lawrence area, affecting at least 23 buildings and possibly more, local officials say. There are reports of injuries.

The incident began at about 5 p.m. ET on Thursday when multiple buildings in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover were hit by separate gas explosions. The exact cause was not immediately clear."""

Have a friend who has family near Andover. I told him about it and he had no idea of it. He is checking on his folks now.

Wow, hope they're okay.

Now that I've seen the video, I don't know that it's terror related. Just weird that 23 different buildings in 3 different burbs would go up like that.

Listening to the news, they're saying the lines were over pressurized, resulting in the explosions. Gas company working to depressurize the lines.

That's what I am thinking, but we're so wired these days to think of terrorism whenever something bad happens. Even though an explanation has been provided, in fact I still think this was terrorism related. It's automatic. It's my default.

If lines were over pressurized, that happens at a central gas hub, right? And someone would have to either hack into the system or manually change the settings, right?

So it could be a form of terrorism.

I first thought terror, then saw it was so spread out and couldn't figure out how that could be terror related. But now that they're saying it was caused by the gas lines being over pressurized, I'm back to thinking it's terror related.

I'm with you.
Some kind of hacking maybe.
Or maybe the explanation is not the real explanation.
Now I feel like reaching for my own tin foil hat-- but I know my logic is NOT far-fetched!

Boston 25 reporting that officials have told them 60 to 100 buildings on fire.

Unreal!
