What's Cooking for Thanksgiving?

* I will move this thread to the correct place after everyone has a chance to respond.

Thanksgiving is around the corner and I have company coming for Thanksgiving! That always makes it more special:thumbsup

I am thinking for having my usual cornbread dressing, ham,(SIL) sweet potato casserole (like a dessert), peas, corn, brocolli and cheese casserole, Italian Cream cheese cake, (SIL), rolls, pecan pie, and a fruit salad of some kind. And of course, cranberry sauce, and maybe giblet gravey. I have not master the latter yet.

What do you plan to serve?

SIL always has the family over on Thanksgiving. I bring the sweet potatoes.

Would you mind sharing the "cheese casserole" recipie?
I've never heard of it and anything with cheese has to be good!

Even thought we moved from Wisconsin to Arizona, we're still having over 20 people over. Instead of doing the traditional turkey, we're picking up everything from Famous Dave's BBQ.

I will be glad to.

I have an appointment to get ready for and as soon as I get back I will get it for you. It is a very good recipe.

We will be making...

Turkey
Ham
Cornbread Dressing
Broccoli & Rice Casserole
Buttermilk Pie
Sweet Potato Casserole (Dessert type complete with marshmallows etc)
Sweet Tea (for everyone else)
Unsweet Tea (for me. It's just the way I like it)

Also... for some reason my wife don't think it's Thanksgiving unless there are Mashed Potatoes & Corn. Go figure. I try to tell her that those things are for the other 364 days of the year but she won't hear of it.

And probably about a dozen other things to ensure the annual overkill. I'd like to keep it simple but the gals always think we "hafta" have this or that.

One of the extras that won't break my heart though... Sweet Pea Salad
