Acts 2:38
 

This is an "Apostolic Forum". The premise is that ALL believe the basic doctrine of
1. Repentance
2. Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ(Not FSHG).
3. Infilling of the Holy Ghost with the EVIDENCE of speaking with other tongues.

IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THE ABOVE, YOU ARE NOT APOSTOLIC AND WILL NOT GO TO HEAVEN. To argue this on an apostolic forum is ASININE. The only ones that would argue against this ARE NOT APOSTOLIC which means THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. This is truth. This is the gospel truth. There is no way around it and any other gospel is done by thieves.

I know some are going to take me to task for this but I say

Wheres all the arguing against Acts 2:38? No, wait, been away from the computer a few minutes. Maybe I missed something.

Theres plenty of dicussion ABOUT Acts 2:38, but I haven'e seen any AGAINST Acts 2:38

The basic and fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, at the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.

When you bypass the Cross on your slamdunk to Acts 2:38.

You miss the power of God unto Salvation.

The Preaching of the Cross!.

That is why so many Jesus Name Churches Baptize many and get them sepaking in tongues and few stay.

You having them shed tears, get their bodies wet and their tongues awagging.

But their hearts are not pricked by the finished work of Calvary!

Acts 2:38 is not the absolute message of Peter in Acts chapter 2.

Read what comes before Acts 2:38.

Baptize them that are pricked in their hearts..

Not those who are commanded "You have to be Acts 2:38'd".

Tell me how your church works with someone who is first time in your service.

They are at the alter.

What are you saying to them?

That is my question?

It's just not in the formula it is in how you get them to Acts 2:38.

You left out the 1973 statement 5 words added after .... in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, "For the remission of sins".
