Anyone Use Napster/Itunes Online Store To Purchase Tracks/Albums?

I tried out Napster.ca yesterday for the first time to purchase a Gold City CD.
I was surprised at how easy & fast it was, not to mention that I could also
preview tracks.

Have you tried it out?

If so, what do you think of it?

Yes we use Itunes all the time... love it! It drives me nuts when I am trying to convert other music downloaded from other places but other than that we really like it and it is very fast and easy

iTunes has massive DRM. Amazon has DRM free tracks for sale.

There is no alternative to iTunes in Linux, so MrsB has the iPod. I have a Sansa 4 GB player and so no DRM is my preference. I am not trying to break the rules and steal music, but to have everything so locked where I cannot download a song on one iTune login and play it on the ONLY iPod in the house.

Does Napster have DRM?

I agree that is the one thing I do hate about Itunes... I have an IPod but my next mp3 will NOT be an IPod strictly for that exact reason! The kids I think are on the same tune now...It does get old

What type of music files and digital rights management (DRM) software does Napster use?
The Napster music that is downloaded to your computer is in Windows Media Audio (.wma) format at 128 or 192 Kbps stereo. We use Microsoft's Windows Media Digital Rights Management software to make sure all the music you have is fast, safe, and protected. For more information about Windows Media DRM

I love ITUNES. I have a 90GB library. I also use Napster and Rhapsody when I can't find it on Itunes.
