Did anyone here ever know Lucille Farmer?

Just wondered if any of you ever knew her?

I knew a Lucille Farmer that lived in Indiana- vaguely remember her because I was young, but know her family... Is this the Lucille Farmer you are interested in?

She was a missionary at one time to Equador.

Lucille Farmer

I visited at Bro. Sponseler's church in Portland, Oregon in about 1991. Sister Farmer was there and the theme of the service was to honor her. She was in a wheelchair and very frail. There were many visitors there that night. The speaker was Bro. Harry Scism. They talked about many great things she had done, and the sacrifices she had made.

Mary Loudermilk wrote a biography of Sis. Farmer entitled "A Willing Heart". I have a copy of the book.

Sis. Farmer was always willing to work for the kingdom of God. She didn't pretend to be great, she was just available to do what she could for God. She didn't let the magnitude of the task or vast distances discourage her.

Sister Alvear, she reminds me of you.

I met Sis Lucille Farmer

I met her back when I was a high school kid living in Jerusalem, Israel back in 1978. A very impressionable lady. That was back in the time that Golda Meier (Israel's 3rd prime minister) died and Sis. Farmer attended her funeral. One of the pall-bearers was a young nurse who was a UPCI Missionaries Kid: Terri Marshall.
