Baptismal Formula

I think I may have asked this before so forgive me. BUt what if someone baptized saying.....

"I now baptize you in the name of the F.S. and H. which is Jesus Christ".

Because it takes the emphasis off of the name of Jesus Christ.

(Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

A problem with this WHOLE debate is that people try being 'too smart by half'. They hang onto individual words (included it or not), singular or plural, "lord" or not..... Do you think that God would ........ someone to hell over such minutia?

On another note, I WAS baptized in Jesus name.... and would again (if for some weird reason it was required), and tell others to as well. But all things being equal, if I were to walk up to someone (who knew my dad) and told them "I come in my dads name", they are going to know who I am talking about. In ancient times, if a messenger came to a village and said "I come in the name of the king!", would the villagers not know? Does JESUS not know? So many are so quick to put people into hell over this....

We have absolutely NO record of exactly what the apostles said when they baptized other than the "name of the Lord Jesus Christ" and iterations thereof. I have baptized folks that way before. The name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost IS Jesus Christ! It's all in Him!! :D

If I was do somethink like that I would say I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ which is the name of the father, son, holy spirit unto the remission of sin.
I have always just baptized people in the name of Jesus Christ.

So? Invoke....the whole point of what Jesus says is not about invoking a special word that can do something.....it's about stating the authority by which you are baptizing.
