I Met Vince Young Today!
 

For any of you NFL fans out there and in particular Titan's fans I had the pleasure of meeting the Tennessee Titans Quarterback Vince Young this morning.

I had an early 6:30 am flight from Austin back to Nashville. As I was navigating between chairs at the gate in Austin Vince and I almost ran into each other.

I screeched to a halt before we collided and looked up to see this familiar looking giant of a young man saying "excuse me". I said "excuse me" and "good morning" to him and he responded in kind.

I did not see him during the flight but after we landed in Nashville I happened by him as he was finishing up autographing some kids hat. I told him we were sure glad he was in Tennessee and he said thank you and started walking with me.

We ended up talking all the way from our gate (at the back of the terminal about as far as you can go) to the exit. He was an abosolute pleasure to talk to. We talked about living in Austin and Nashville, etc. It was like talking to an old friend. I know that his family must be so proud of his success and that he has earned a reputation as a nice person in spite of the allocades and stardom that comes with being a huge success as a Collegiate quarterback and then being highly recruited as an NFL quarterback.

Vince is commuting between Austin and Nashville because he is determined to finish his college degree. I really admire him for that because he certainly does not have to do it for any monetary reasons.

Good to hear about Vince being a good one. I remember when Eddie George was playing for the Titans he went into a clothing store of the same chain I used to work for. The sales person walked up and asked if he needs help with anything and begins small talk. He asked Eddie what he did. Eddie shockingly told him he played footbal to which the salesman responded, " do you play for Vanderbilt" LOL Eddie said. "No, I play for the Titans." The guy did not even know who Eddie George was. LOL

Oh you people who get to get out and meet the world! Very neat! My husband has had the opportunity to meet many "famous" people.... He once met Daryl Coley at the airport.... He met the Rev. Jesse Jackson and talked with him for a little bit, at an airport... He also ended on a flight with a bunch of WWF wrestlers....I actually got to see them because I was waiting with him before his flight left... I guess I just need to go hand out the airport to see these exciting people!

I have a friend who was head of security for a large Las Vegas hotel. He's met many 'celebs' over the years......stories he can tell!
