Natchez, MS

Anyone know the churches in the Natchez, MS/Ferriday, LA area? Any 'liberal' minded oneness in that area?
A particular church in that area that anyone likes?

I lived in Natchez for many years but did not go to church at the time. There is a UPC Church on Hwy 61 and also a very large church in Ferriday. Liberal..I don't know.

I still have relatives in Natchez I think. Not sure about any churches though. Haven't been that way since the 60's.

Yes

The Ferriday church has/had a burden for a 60 mile radius which well included Natchez (of course this was 8 yrs ago, so I don't know if things have changed).

I have a friend that goes to the Ferriday church. When I was online reading the Natchez Democrat I looked at the obit page and POML advertises on there. POML is the Ferriday church.
I used to visit the Natchez church years ago when Bro Triplett pastored there. That was a great church at that time.
Do not know the Howington's but it seems the Ferriday church is large and growing.
I know my friend who goes to POML is not ultra conservative but would that church accept those that would not just conform because they go there and not look at them as rebels or 'sinners' because they do not hold all their 'rules' as biblical.

If Bro. Howington is still there, I can add some information. I personally visited his church on several occasions. My friend Jason Dillon preached a revival there in the late 90s and I went up to visit him there. Thus I was able to visit and get to know Bro. Howington and his family. Bro. Howington seemed to be a sincere and earnest type of guy. If I had to peg him, I would say that his personality and manner reminded me of a Jeff Arnold type. From what I know of him, I would imagine that he is dedicated to the UPC, but not the type of person that would beat somebody over the head for not thinking like him.

From the looks of things the Howington's are still there. Jeff Arnold type??? you ruined it for me with just that. I am not a member of his fan club.
