Another Charismatic Revival-real or fake? watch
Is Steve Gray Trying to Fake Another Revival ?
For Pastor Steve and Kathy Gray of World Revival Church in Kansas City, the lightnings of God first struck on March, 24, 1996 igniting an international revival which became known as The Smithton Outpouring. Reporters around the globe documented over a quarter of a million people followed the flames to a town of 532, in the middle of nowhere, to experience the power and presence of God, resulting in powerful demonstrations of healing and life changing encounters. But could this "lightning" strike again, creating yet another life-changing event so powerful that it would cause Gray and his congregation to become a sign and wonder again? Hasn't this same thing been happening for the last 100 years. Looks like a lot of hype to me. I just hope to many folks aren't damaged by all of this stuff.

The only thing close to it in the New Testament is this version.. http://biblecc.com/acts/3-19.htm Weymouth New Testament Version - Acts 3:19 Repent, therefore, and reform your lives, so that the record of your sins may be cancelled, and that there may come seasons of revival from the Lord, ... but i would take that to be a personal work, not really a corporate work, and all the froufrou and sensationalism that we roll into the concept .. and the more commonly accepted translation is the word "refreshing" From the KJV Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. but seriously, it still doesn't hold up the framework of "revivalism" that has been built around the ill used word. My view on it is explained in the thread i made. |

But it is always concerning that so much focus is on manifestations instead of Jesus. But that's my take. |
