Hey Ladies!
Hey Girls,
I have been asked to speak at a Women's Tea next month. I have never spoken to this group of ladies as a "group" before, and while I am pretty sure what message I will be bringing, I just wanted a little feedback. Which things do you feel are important that don't get enough teaching? If you were in a "Ladies Only" setting, what would you want to learn more about, of what topics do you think the ladies tend to be lacking information in? Keep in mind that I am a closet Liberal (well I guess I am out the closet, but not THAT way! I am happily married to a wonderful Man!), so I will not be teaching on dress standards.... Any ideas would be great! |
Re: Hey Ladies!
Rest assured, any Ladies teas I've ever been to, have not included teaching on dress standards.
Personally, I think the topics of sister love, bearing one anothers burdens, and refraining from gossipping and backbiting against our sisters are always good topics. If you want something serious. You could always go lighthearted, and fun. |

BTW if any Men are peeking on this thread, what do you think are topics that should be broached? |
Re: Hey Ladies!
I had a ladies meeting once on the "Bride of Christ" - - the hall was decorated like a wedding reception even with wedding cake! We all wore wedding veils - it was like playing dress up. I asked the speaker to talk about being prepared to be the Bride of Christ and relate it to our daily living.
Everyone brought a wedding photo of themselves and the single ladies brought a picture of their "dream wedding dress". Sharing those were fun. The ladies all seemed to really have a good time. |

What about divorced women, do you think people would be offended if I asked the pastor's wife to tell the ladies to bring wedding pictures? |
