There Are Many Adversaries.

Pastor Wade Bass of Life Tabernacle in Ocala, Florida (http://www.lifetabernacleocala.org/) came and preached for our camp meeting along with Pastor Steve Pixler (http://www.acfw.org/default.aspx and http://www.stevepixler.com/Default.aspx) this past week.

Brother Bass preached the above title (which can be heard online at - http://www.truthchurch.com/media_player.php?FILEID=10) about how there were adversaries that were defeated by one generation, but after they left, the enemies rose up again to face the new generation. Or to put it differently, the new generation's chance to defeat the same ole enemies that their fathers in the faith faced, fought, and defeated.

Its interesting how that when one strong generation defeats an enemy, it goes away and waits for that generation or victor to die, and then it comes back to rear its ugly head to see if it can defeat the next generation or son in the faith.

Ain't that just the way. Our enemy just won't quit. But we are assured of victory.

What is Brother Bass' first name?

I am listening to the sermon now, and it has a nice beginning, good old time preaching...

However, in a general sense...

I don't knw that I agree because the enemy is ALWAYS defeated and will be defeated through the ages. I don't think sin every goes away because we have defeated it and stays away until it finds a susceptible candidate.
