A dying person asks to be baptized however the doctors will not give permission...the person is full of bedsores in many places of the body???

What do you think the preacher should do?

He should reassure the person that baptism is not necessary. God is not a nit-picker.

Hmmm, is the person dying able to speak their mind clearly? Our they sound of mind? If so get them to ask the Dr for the go ahead, not sure how things are handle in Brazil.
Another thing you might be able to do, is bath this person yourself, with bed sores I'm not sure if bathing in a tub is allowed. My thoughts on this would be, God not shallow, He understand the situations , I believe if you took a tub of warm water, wash cloth wipe the water on them from head to toe it would count, God know their heart.

In this rare case, I think you could get creative and pour a bucket of water over the individual so they were all wet.

She has the most beautiful smile for a dying person. She was Catholic until a nurse from our church witnessed to her...
They say before she got sick she was real skinny...she is very swollen but very much aware of what is going on.

My father had been sick for approx 5 years and could barely walk or breathe due to congestive heart failure and emphezema, but when he decided to be Baptized in Jesus name...

I remember the walk to the baptistry and it was so labored and slow. It took approx an hour to get him baptized and I have pictures of each step he took. That memory will be forever in my mind. Where there is a will, there is a way.

I worked in a nursing home as Social Service Director for the subacute unit. There was a woman there who was dying of cancer. She wanted to be baptized. There was one tub with a Hoyer lift that we strapped around her and lowered her into the bathtub to get her baptized. We had to get a lot of people's permission because of the legal liability...but we did.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

Timmy, you are so right God is not a nit picker however the Bible does teach us we should be baptized...so I am asking from the standpoint that baptism is very important.
