Christ rose from the dead on Sabbath, not Sunday
Any Takers?
Scripture is plain on this fact. Ron |
Re: Christ rose from the dead on Sabbath, not Sund
Is the Sabbath considered the first day of the week, or the last?

What relevance is his rising on Sunday? Sunday resurrection is Pagan Catholic and Catholic proof for the day of worship to be moved from Sabbath to Sunday. Ron |

He was dead for three days and three nights. He died on Thursday night, did He not? That's what I've always heard. |

Who the flip cares? Jesus is alive. It's not a heaven or hell issue.

The days started at sun DOWN. He was crucified on a Wednesday. There were two Sabbaths that week. The one that fell on that Thursday (The High Sabbath) and the weekly Sabbath. Ron |

He could have risen ten minutes before they arrived. Who knows? According to Matthew 28, the angel rolled the stone away as the women were on their way, or so it seems. Now, whether or not that's when He arose is anyone's guess, as it doesn't say. Strangely enough, in Mark 14, it appears that Jesus partook of the passover of unleavened bread. Read through verse 16. Weird. Never noticed that before. Anyway, this is interesting. Let me know what else you find out. |

Please explain this passage:
Luke 24:21 KJV But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. Luke 24:21 KJV But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. Sunday is in place and the men tell Jesus SUNDAY was THE THIRD DAY SINCE Christ was crucified. |
