What *don't* you miss from your childhood?
 

I really don't miss anything. I didn't wanna be a total downer in the other thread though. lol

My childhood wasn't good. I don't have many memories at all, and those I do have don't really qualify as fond.

I *am* glad that my kids have had opportunities I never had. I hope they have fond memories to look back on someday.

Un-airconditioned cars
Dressing exactly like my sister
Black & white TV
Dusharme (hair conditioner), Ungentine (for ouchies), Prell shampoo
School shot day

I don't miss the boy next door chasing me with a snake he had killed. Ugh!
I don't miss the long walks to and from school, especially when it was cold and/or raining.
I don't miss having to turn off gas heaters at night.

The outhouse.
Cold winters in central Illinois.
Alter services that lasted until midnight and after when I had to get up and go to school next morning.
Six week long revivals.

I don't miss getting up early in the morning getting on the school bus my mother drove and sitting in the cold until it warmed up.
I don't miss being picked on by my older brother
I don't miss going to sleep in an un air conditioned house.

Having only 3-4 channels on TV (which wasn't actually 'fixed' until about 1989 because of our out-in-the-country home).

I don't miss my Dad calling me names and telling my Mom bad stuff and lies about me.

I don't miss being picked on and being called nerd.

I don't miss being on the free lunch program.

I don't miss "Knight Rider", or the stupid talking car.
