choice? life? abortion?
Don't want to seem repetitious but this video shows another reason to vote for John McCain over Barack Obama.
Their views on abortion are so different. And, the next President may appoint one or more Supreme Court Justices who will have a lot of influenc on things like abortion, gay marriage/rights, etc. http://www.americaschoicenow.com/ |
Re: choice? life? abortion?
I believe the Obama campaign has gone on record as saying that these born-alive protection act votes were merely Republican party tactics to force Democrats from conservative districts to face a severe conflict of interests: National party vs. local constituents, and to give their opponents a stick with which to beat them over the head during the next campaign.
If that's so . . . . . it sure looks like it's working!!!!!! :ursofunny:ursofunny :toofunny :lol :killinme :snapout |
Re: choice? life? abortion?
Well, I've got one last take on the abortion issue, but I just don't have the time or energy tonight. It all stems from McCain's answer to the Roe v. Wade question in the last debate. As a genuine pro-life American, it was very unsatisfactory to me. I am surprised that we haven't heard much about it...but I'll talk about that tomorrow. I'm just giving a heads-up so PO can go start compiling her counter arguments and articles. :)

Re: choice? life? abortion?
This seems just as good a place as any to ask a question.
On a political forum, where I have been posting this political season, the majority are Democrats and they do hold to women's rights on abortion. I can't post what I actually said here, so I'll try and rephrase. I was getting a little agitated. :D Anyway, they were pushing the issue of Palin being against abortion and I wanted to know what was so important about being able to have an abortion. It seems to me that, other than medical emergency for the mother, it's another birth control method and I'm wondering why it is so hard to get another form of protection instead of killing an unborn child. So being plain, it seems they are fighting the right to be promiscuous and are indignant that someone would try to stop them. What am I missing on the abortion issue or am I missing it? |

I think the Republican party has made more strides, but I think it would be against our rights as Americans to force the issue upon a secular society that is not in agreement. We have the gay marriage issue being waged in California. The will of the people have, thus far, been against it. At some point it will eventually pass, but we must leave this to majority vote. It's the way our Constitution works. We can't force an anti-abortion or overturn Roe v. Wade stance against the will of the people. |
