Yes, a friend of mine just passed away because of this horrible disease. She was a strong woman in her early thirties. The disease, within a matter of three years, conquered her body.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) sometimes called Lou Gehrig disease, is a rapidly progressive, invariably fatal neurologic disease that attacks the neurons responsible for controlling voluntary muscles. The disease belongs to a group of disorders known as motor neuron diseases, which are characterized by the gradual degeneration and death of motor neurons.
My mother had ALS. She passed away in 1969

I have someone very close to me who has many of the symptoms of ALS. No diagnosis yet, but today it's weighing on my mind.

Just thought I would reach out and see if anyone here had been affected by it personally.

I'm sorry for those of you who have.

Please pray for my loved one, He has been suffering for a couple of years now with symptoms and has had no diagnosis yet. Getting into a neurologist took him over a year and a half... and the diagnosis is not in yet.

Praying my friend, I know it has to be hard on you to watch your loved one suffer. Praying for you both!
