Tithes And Offering: Send them to Head Quarters for equality.

If this was to be voted on at General Conference, how would you vote?

How about everyone in the UPC send there Tithes and offerings to the U.P.C.I. Head Quarters.

Then head quarters can spread all the funds out evenly as each church and ministry needs.

Acts 4:33-35 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain

33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

The big churches would probably dislike the idea and the smaller churches would probably like it.

I would never send my tithes to HQ.

First of all...it is not YOUR tithes..but it is God's. It is already HIS.

However, I will say that tithes and offerings are for the local assembly. There are organizational offerings that we give to HQ (Mother's Memorial, Sheves for Christ, etc.) that are used for our missionaries around the world. However, it was bringing tithes and offerings to the local assembly.

I wouldnt send any money to hq. Kinda agrivates me if I want to support a ministry it has to go through HQ. We wanted to give a missionary money once and couldnt cause HQ had to get it's share first. Ya know If I want to give you five dollars I want to give it to you not someone else to give you your part of it lol

Why does this even matter to you??? Why would you support an org. that you rail against daily??

*sigh*

Coop, if my Daddy were here, he would ask you if you prayed this morning and if you'd read the Bible today. (God's Word, you know)

Silly questions, I'm sure. Somehow they pop into my head and seem relevant.

Your posts, your perspectives, your attitude...they make me sad. It isn't the fault of the UPCI that you are where you are.
