Do our pets go to heaven?

Okay guys.Here's a question,I have had several pets in my life time and I have loved them all very much.Heres my take on the subject.Man has a soul animals and angels do not but,they have a spirit.If God is the same yesterday,today and always then, we must go to the book of Genesis1 where he created everything and all the animals.when God created them he looked upon his work and said that it was good.Ive been taught that God does not dispose.He loves his creation.The bible also states that he cares for the animals because he feeds them and clothes the lilies of the field!iN The begining we all were all to live forever but because of mankinds sin everybody including the animals started to die.If God does not dispose of his creation then maybe Ill see my four legged friends in heaven.What do you all think?:kittyhug:dogpat:largehalo:doggyrun

My husband is a huge animal lover. I heard him tell his mom that he felt God had a special place in heaven for animals. Do I agree? Nope but he loves animals so much that he wants to believe that. :tissue

Re: Do our pets go to heaven?

Breath = Life giving force.

Spirit = The inner part of a person; God's agency.

Although I do not see any scriptural evedence of what you are asking, I can only assume based upon some clues that might support your theories. According to Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the "breath" of life; and man became a living soul. From Strong's concordance we find that the word "breath" is derived from the Hebrew word neshamaw which means: A puff, i.e. wind, angry or vital breath, divine inspiration, intellect. or an "animal":--- blast, (that) breath (-eth), inspiration, soul, "spirit". The word "spirit" is closely tied in with breath (also found in Strong's concordance) taken from the Hebrew word "ruwach".

Take this information for what it's worth ( a grain of salt), but if God breathed into man, then it wouldn't be difficult to see that animals are given His breath to live as well. Even though I do not find any evedence to support animals going to heaven when they die, it is difficult for me to say that the spirit of the animals will not go on to live forever. JMO.

Yes. Jesus comes back on a white horse doesn't he? lol

You'll notice that Heaven is full of beasts and creatures. It's a wonderful place.

I don't know why animals wouldn't go to heaven.
