The other issue with THE cartoon

The one subtlety that I don't think people are realizing in the New York Post cartoon is the clear implication that there will be another stimulus package. Now that we have had a Republican and Democratic version, it appears that what seemed absolutely foreign a few months ago has become common place and accepted. Here is a relatively conservative major news outlet cavalierly discussing the next stimulus bill. It is ironic that even in its attempt to criticize the stimulus package it concedes the next one. It's almost as if we have conceded that these bailout packages will be a commonplace part of American life...how far we have come in just a few short months.

No opinions? Am I just reading too much into how we appear to have been so quickly conditioned to accept this sort of bailout that seemed so un-American a few months ago? I don't know how many of these stimulus packages we can afford to be written by anyone...simian or otherwise.

There shouldn't have been ANY stimulus package.

Another bail out for the bail out? That's kind of scary.

I think we've just about given up.

GWB pushed a stimulus package and now BHO.
Both are increased government interference and control.
So many want the government to handle everything and to take care of them from the cradle to the grave.
Yesterday a grand daughter was here to visit us. She is a senior in a nearby school district in what is considered a good school. She told us one of her teachers told the class that they would live to see the end of the United States.

Have we reached a point where the people have become powerless in a "democracy" or are there things that we can do to regain control...or did the people never really have control in the first place?

What jumped out at me in the cartoon other than the whole monkey business was that I really had no desire to be laughing about the next "stimulus package" anyway.

Isn't this like throwing good money after bad?

We are right AT the tipping point where just about 50% of the population pays no income taxes. The "two wolves and one sheep voting for what to have for dinner" phrase comes to mind.

But I don't even know that we are even voting for what we're getting. I'm just of the firm opinion that if we the people continue to operate in the same political boxes with the same programmed political outlets, we'll get much more of the same.

This and other nonesense coming from the federal government may be a blessing in disguise in that it is fueling the State soverignty movement which will reinstate "These United States" vs. "The United States".
There are several movements afoot to restore America to what has made us great. And yes, she can be great again as the power lies with us. Easy? probably not. Possible? Absolutely! I know some of the Prophecy Professionals have the USA going the way of the dodo bird, but they are absolutely wrong! In fact, (imho) that is in large part why we as a nation has declined to this point is due to the vast majority of the preachers in the pulpits and teachers of our children and the newspapers and TV's all are claiming our fall. (self fullfilling prophecy at best). If your brand of prophecy teaches the USA must fall, your brand is part of the problem. If our founding fathers had the same endtime view many of us have today, they no doubt would have just excused the actions of the British as a sign of the times and there was nothing humanly possilbe they could do about it in that it was in God's plan. Thank God they did not have that spewing from the pulpits back then. Bros and Sis. We can take back what has been stolen from us.
I do not know much about this Mike Church guy, but I have been hearing more and more states are reasserting their soverignty against the fed.

I feel better. :)
