How about those folks who rejoiced at his election and said, "Now I won't have to worry about my mortgage or my credit cards"? Are they becoming disillusioned? Or is it just too soon for him to make those payments?

This is an anecodotal story but it is a first hand experience from a business associate of mine. I was talking to him a few days after the election and he had just flown back from one of his companies locations in another state that he oversees.
They had a black employee at his company in that state who had called in sick the day of the election which did not surprise them as they knew he was excited about Obama potentially being elected President.
What did shock and surprise them is when he showed up the next day so giddy they thought he might be on drugs and when he was asked to do anything would say "uh uh. I ain't gonna do it. It's a new day baby!!!!".
Now obviously this guy is an extreme case but it made me wonder how many more nut jobs are out there who thought Obama being the first black man elected was magically going to bring them money, pay their bills, and make it so they didn't have to obey their boss any more if he was white. Arghhhhh.
