HELP Needed - - - National Lampoon's Vacation
 

I'm writing a comparative speech on road trip vacations compared to cruises.

My opening is setting it up talking about National Lampoon's Vacation - starring Chevy Chase.

What are some mishaps that took place on their trip?

1. Grandma died

I don't remember. Been too long since I saw it. But you are welcome to use a few of my own mishaps:

1. Took wrong turn without knowing it, small son says "Dad, what are we doing in Montana?", Dad says "We're not in Mont.... WHAT THE?!?! We are in Montana!!"

2. Car breaks down, middle of nowhere, Alberta. Hilarity ensues, such as a cloud of mosquitoes engulfing me (and half of the cloud following me back into the car), and drunk in a pick-up giving me a ride to the nearest town.

3. A/C breaks down, middle of nowhere, West Texas. In August. The no-squirt-guns-in-car rule is suspended.

He pulled the dog by the collar when he was attached to the car and killed him...

Dog died....he tired it to the rear of a car and forgot...a mile later a cop pulled him over to show him an empty leash tied to the car

1. Ordered one car and salesman substituted another. When he tried to get HIS car back it had already been crushed.

2. I THINK they were going through St. Louis...got on wrong side of town. Stopped and asked directions and while the "guy in the hood" was "helping?" him...buds stripped the wheels and the tires off his car.

3. Of course, Cousin Eddie made taking Aunt Edna with them worthwhile when he gave Clark those NICE white patent loafers! LOL

I like European Vacation where he tosses the ball and it goes off the Eiffel tower and that little dog followed it
