What are you?
I was talking to my roommate tonight and she started discussing her family's various religions and spiritual paths. She ended her story with a question.
"What are you?" "Hebraic roots. But not really." I sat and ran though labels in my mind. What am I? Apostolic? While in some ways I identify with the sort of Apostolic mostly presented here, in so many others I know I could never live up to the Apostolic expectations that some post. Because those expectations are what the world associates with Apostolic, when they know what it is, I hesitate to use the label. Christian? I despise this term because of what it stands for in my mind. In the truest sense, yes I am a follower of Christ, a Christian. But I am not any of the things I immediately think of when I hear or say the word. Here I drew a blank. What am I? "Christian I guess, sort of." So what are you? |

Re: What are you?
I still say I am Pentecostal because I believe what happened on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 still happens, but also I don't agree with everything that has "Pentecostal" on the sign.
