WhooHooo!

My dad is having an issue with dizziness in the morning only. They tested for blockage in his carotid artery and the report came back clear.

They said his heart is strong and healthy too.

Thank the LORD!!!!

How about Allergies? I have that problem sometimes and also if I bend over too far I will get dizzy and nauseated. My cardiologist said it caused by allergies.

They will be doing another test on him next week - the tilted table????

I doubt it's allergies since it only happens after he's been laying down all night.

Blood pressure.

Blood pressure changes from when you are laying down to when you are standing up. Tell him this weekend to try waking up, sitting up with feet on floor for about 5 minutes and then standing. If it makes the difference get a small blood pressure monitor and track the sudden changes in blood pressure and then take the results to the dr. They will not generally test for this, and the main solution is simply to get up more slowly. Its just that as people age, some people's bodies don't adjust to the different BP laying and standing as quickly. Everyone's BP changes laying to standing, but most of us don't notice because we adjust very quickly.

If he can take the sitting time to do something productive-read a chapter of the Bible or an article in a magazine, do a sudoku or something, he won't notice the time going by as much but it will make a big difference in dizziness if BP is the problem. Runs in my family; drs finally admitted it years into testing.

His blood pressure is perfect though. However, I did research the tilt test and that seems to be what it's checking out.

Oh, he HAS to sit on the side of the bed for 10-15 minutes before he can get up. But, then that's it for the day.
