Hark, the herald angels sing...
Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King! Peace on earth and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled" Joyful, all ye nations rise Join the triumph of the skies With the angelic host proclaim: "Christ is born in Bethlehem" Hark! The herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn King!" Christ by highest heav'n adored Christ the everlasting Lord! Late in time behold Him come Offspring of a Virgin's womb Veiled in flesh the Godhead see Hail the incarnate Deity Pleased as man with man to dwell Jesus, our Emmanuel Hark! The herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn King!" Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace! Hail the Son of Righteousness! Light and life to all He brings Ris'n with healing in His wings Mild He lays His glory by Born that man no more may die Born to raise the sons of earth Born to give them second birth Hark! The herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn King!" Hark the herald angels sing – Christian lyrics and music Charles Wesley I listened as they were playing it on the radio today...I stopped in the middle of what I was doing... Hark, the herald angels sing...We may not know when He was born but we do know HE WAS BORN...However good news is only good if we know it! I got lost in a whirlwind of thoughts until someone said, What is the matter, Missionary...my mind was far away thinking of those that perish without the knowledge of Christ... I brushed tears from my cheeks and told my friend that I was thinking how blessed I am to know a living Christ. God as called each one of us to take the Light of Christ to this lost dark world...For HOW SHALL THEY HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER.... |
Re: Hark, the herald angels sing...
Someone once said we major in minors and minor in majors…
Someone else once slid there are no lukewarm Christians in communist countries. Jesus must mean everything to us or the simple fact is He means nothing. Living for Jesus is not a pastime but it must be our whole life. We must be absolved in the work of the Master. |
Re: Hark, the herald angels sing...
Go ye into all the world….were some of our Lord’s last words. It is a fact that last words of people are considered very important. In His quest to bring earth’s family back to God it cost our Lord everything.
Studying the lives of the disciples and those of the first Christians there contrast with the believers of today. The first Christians had one primary interest and that was spreading the gospel message. When Jesus said go ye into all the world he was looking down the road where men and women live. I read somewhere once that the first Christians lived as if they were invaders from another world. |
