God will be opening a new door

The last few months have been very troublesome. We found out in September that my entire division was being targeted for outsource to a private firm. My co-workers and I have been busy attending meetings, pleading for funds to save our jobs. Earlier this week the board passed their budget without our funding. My last day to work is December 23. I am of course, frustrated. I know God will provide, but transition is never easy. Please pray for us.

I will be looking for education to enter a new field. Please feel free to provide advice and ideas.

Thanks.

Green jobs are what is getting subsidized and that field will be growing. You might look that direction.

But I stand in agreement with you that another door will be opening. That isn't the power of positive thinking either... that is a confidence that comes from seeing it happen over and over again.

Keep us updated on how it is all going and we will remain in prayer.

God never, ever lets us down!! My husband lost two jobs over plant closures and God ALWAYS opened a door!! Skills and experience will always give an advantage in the job market. Pray you'll find your new place soon.

Didn't you work at a prison?
What exactly are you looking to enter into?

Dave, The same thing happened to me in Manufacturing on Dec 18th, 1998. On March 21st, 1999, my salary in 1998 was over 70K and I took a job at a salary of 28K.

I went into Telecommunication sales and by the end of 1998, I made more than I did in 1998.

Since then I have made nearly twice the amount I would have on the old job.

I have changed companies a couple of times and every Dec 18th, I get this weird feeling.

As you stated, God will open a new door and one that will lead to blessings!

God Bless...
