Crazy Love

I just finished a radical book called "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. Wow!! It's so opposite of most of what you read in the Christian world today. It's all about giving away your "stuff", investing in eternity rather than in an earthly future, and making radical moves for the Kingdom, depending totally on faith. The chapter on "lukewarm Christians" alone is good enough to buy the book!

It's one of those books that is SO convicting, yet inspiring at the same time. Now I just want to sell everything and move to Africa. LOL!

J/k, but not really!

We did a 10 week series in my home friendship group last year using the 10 chapters and a video that corresponds to the book.

Br. Chan was a little hard to take on some of the chapters.

Hard to take in what way? Just curious...the good way? Where it is so convicting and real about things you don't want to deal with...or the bad way by being "out there"?

Again, just curious...

hard to take in a good way I guess.

one chapter he spoke about our possesions. Homes for instance. He aqnd his family sold their larger home and bought a much smaller home so as to be able to afford to give more to the work of God.

They also open that home to people in need, currently they have two people living with them.

anther chapter delt with their churches giving. If I remembe rright they give over 50 % of what comes in to help other ministeries.

The clips online are "samples". The video we used was different. Each night/chapter has a short 4 to 6 minute segment and a suggested discussion question.

I think also the back of the book has some suggested questions.

Some of our home groups also made up some questions to use for discusion.
