I share my life...
 

Not only on the mission field but right here with you, my forum family, I WANT TO SHARE my life as a missionary. That is the reason stories are shared...experiences both good and bad are shared. Our struggles, our victories...I want you to know that missionaries are not god-like creatures floating through the air preaching the gospel...we are real live humans with human likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses...
We have human passions like all people…we love, we hate (have to pray through over that)
We face many conditions strange to Americans…fanatical idolaters, inhospitable receptions in strange places, work with people enwrapped in spiritual darkness, face lack of hotel accommodations, travel over impossible roads to the congested cities or interior jungle land.
Passion for missions is not a personality trait rather a deep felt calling to rescue the souls of men. The Holy Haste to go into the entire world is impossible to explain…
The cries of hundreds of lost villages ring in our ears at night and often take sleep from our eyes. This burden often transcends our limits as humans. No wonder we missionaries usually die early.
We have watched the pagan soul awaken at the music of HIS CALL…. no, dear ones I would never be happy anywhere else other than the mission field.
So do not pity me or feel sorry for me I would not change places with the world's richest...for I am rich...my life has been blessed.
