Why So Many Lebron Haters?

Quote:

When James left Cleveland to form a "superteam" (it sounds so funny now, doesn't it?) with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, he wasn't just giving Cleveland the finger or toying with us on national television. He was telling us that the entire enterprise doesn't matter -- the struggle, the connection with a city, any of it. The spoils are all that matter.

Lebron made the right decision to leave Cleveland. I think most people would have rather seen him win a title at cleveland on his own. He tried. It didn't happen. It was time to move on.

I even think he could have left Cleveland and still not have been "most hated."

He tried to form a Super Team, dissed Cleveland on national TV late into Free Agency (not giving Cleveland a chance to land some talent), etc.... he made some big errors and leaving Cleveland wasn't one of them.

But... he's the one counting the $$ (which could have been more if he would have joined a team without all his buddies).

I don't think he could have left and not been most hated. But then again its actually a good thing for him that he's most hated right now ;)

I definitely think if he would have bowed out early after the season ended, communicated in private instead of an ESPN special he'd have more friends -- even if Cleveland still hated him for awhile.

Probably doesn't help that he choked in the playoffs last year.
