Libs believe in salvation by works
 

While they shout grace they really believe works save folks. Grace is found in obeying the gospel message that cleanses the soul of man by His blood. Libs think being a 'good' person, being religious, being a family member, giving to charities, whatever saves. NOT the message preached and obeyed.
Their first argument is so and so did so and so and you think they are lost. So their works or being family saves them not the gospel.

True everyone is someone's liberal and someone's conservative. Although some libs on here are what Kennedy, Polosi, Reid is the political libs and to be more liberal than them is scary.
I have reserved judgment on you.

I was writing an article on this and still need to change it, but to be honest most westerners believe in works to some degree or another I think and is a prime reason why we don't experience greater miracles. Westerners are full of pride and hate to be told what to do and how to do it. They'd rather do things their own way so they can feel some pride in accomplishments. That is why so many churchs spring up that focus more on gaining knowledge and not so much on prayer and waiting on God and fasting etc etc.

I think most humans are by nature wanting to rely on themselves and want to have a relationship with God on their own terms, or at least believe they are having a relationship with God when in reality all they are doing is learning more facts

The trouble is the label of a liberal is one no one will ever accept.

What in the world started THIS thread, Bro E?

I always wonder what class God puts us in? We judge by what we see He judges what we cannot see...the inner man...the motive...the reason why we live as we do...
Only He alone knows the heart...

So often we hear on forums like this that we are somehow judgemental because we do not accept as brethren contemporary music artists or authors like Swindol, Mcdowel or Colsen. The unspoken assumption being that because they don't do just like us we reject them. When the reality is that those who would have us accept them are really judging them not by an objective standard like the word of God but by something shallow like a song that gave you goose bumps or a book that may have been informative.

So all you judgers out there quit judging by YOUR OWN STANDARDS and start applying the Word of God to your judgments.
