Stupid Dog

Well, she is not really a stupid dog, but aggravation will make you call one stupd among other things too.

I fixed up my dogs automatic feeder and left plenty of water for both of my dogs since I was going to be gone for a few days.

When I returned this dog was almost dead for the lack of oxygen. She had separated the food chamber from the trough and stuck her head in the food chamber. She was unable to get her head out. Since the lid was on the top of the chamber at the time, she was not getting much fresh air at all.

This is the sight that met my eyes when I returned home:

At first, I tried to pull the chamber off her head. No soap! I then took the cap off the chamber so she could get some air from the top end. I left her over night. The next morning I took this picture and then pulled her ears out first after which I was able to extract the head of this dumb animal.

Now in the old days, I would have just taken the dog into the woods and shot her. But, I understand how touch feely and hyped up on all of this animal protection, elevating them to the class of humans, so I just gave her away.

I got tired of her remaining in her puppy stage. Hopefully someone else can enjoy her. Still have ol' Beauregard. Can't no one come out here without losing a leg or an arm, if they are not careful.

Goooooood dog. You ought to see how excited she gets when I come home. The dog is so happy that she goes crazy.

Yeah, we have laughed quite a bit too. I only wish that I would have used the movie feature of the camera now that I think of it. The dumb dog kept running into everything unable to manage that contraption over her head. It was so funny that I almost split a gut.

Since you were gone "a few days," I wonder how long she had that thing on her head. haha!

We were only gone for about three days. Probably only one or two days.

She evidently had knocked the thing over, breaking it apart and wasting the food on the ground. Then to get to the last few bits in there, she decided to force her head in there to get it. Then she got stuck. The sad thing is that she was not getting much air and was very languid when I arrived that night. Rather than to fool around with it with dress clothes on, I just took the top off it so that she could at least get fresh air.

It was so funny watching her run around everywhere running into everything. What a dumb dog.

Poor dog...

I'm glad my dog is smart. She is a Cairn terrier and she was house broken within a few weeks. She is the third Cairn terrier I have owned in my life and all of them have been very remarkable dogs.

Was that dog a Labrador? They usually are pretty easy to train and are known to have a very pleasant demeanor. I am glad that you were able to find a good home for the pooch.
