You Can Like, Love and Respect but That doesn't Put Them In Heaven...
Why are Apostolic Oneness People defending Trinitarian Leaders?
Some one referenced Jerry Falwell passing away.. and then a Oneness Minister or Ministers seems to take umbrage or offense at that and openly attacked... I'm not saying what was said couldn't have been said more tactfully but the Bible enforces the Apostolic Doctrine. One God... Repentence...Baptism in Jesus Name and the Infilling of the Holy Ghost with the Evidence of Speaking in a unknown Tongue... Clearly when asked..What must we do to be saved... Peter answered under the anointing of the Holy Ghost.. If you believe that Trinitarians or anybody else is saved without following the Biblical Process why keep the standards your keeping? Why not join their fellowships and become the same? I might respect, love and care for somebody in false doctrine but that won't put those folks in Heaven.... and neither can I.... They must be born of the water and of the Spirit... before they can enter the kingdom of God... How can they get into Kingdom of Heaven if they never become a part of the Kingdom of God? |
Maybe they secretly believe in the "light/ friends of the bride" doctrine.

While I see nothing wrong with being gracious and showing respect to Trinitarians (ie - Jerry Falwell), I don't believe in compromising the doctrine of salvation or the Godhead. You ~must~ be born again of the water and the spirit. You ~must~ be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. I do not feel you can believe the blasphemous doctrine of the Trinity and make it to heaven. I agree and would add the rejection of the oneness of God. |

I wish that all men would be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and were filled with the gift of the baptism of the Holy spirit but I don't have to believe their eternal salvation is at stake if they have not done that yet. You see the works of water baptism as essential to salvation where I see it as something a converted person should want to do as their response to their conversion. You see the baptism of the Holy Spirit as essential to salvation where I see it as an empowerment for sanctification seperate from the work of the Holy Spirit in one's life when one accepts Christ work at Calvary and is saved by grace through faith. But I do appreciate that you are mature enough to be nice to me even though you think I am going to hell !!!! |

You can hate, discredit and deride... but that doesn't put them in hell.

that whole Fallwell thing just blew me away. the guy is dead. it was posted that he was dead. some admired him for the things he did.
why do some feel compelled to even comment on the guys eternal destination? why the need to speak ill of a dead guy who never was an apostolic to begin with/ I dont need to post "he is burning in hell" to make me feel better about the doctrine I have always been committed to. |

Sure you can find the oddball trinitarian who does not believe orthodox trinitarian doctrine who will say off the wall stuff but you also can find ignorant Oneness folks who misrepresent the Oneness doctrinal position. What I am saying is that I can agree with your statement as it is written. By that I mean people like Hindu's, Buddhists, etc who are polytheistic cannot be saved without acknowledging the One true God. I do not agree with how a lot of OP's are going to receive your statement - that trinitarians are not saved by virtue of not understanding the godhead as we do. |
