Understand I AM

Which currently refuses to return the verse I want in search, but you know the one; what does this mean to you? I'll post it when I find it.

Thisun maybe?
Jesus said, “Truly, Truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am”
Good oneness scripture anyway if not...

Ha, guess I'll have to check out "thison" and get back to you--can you give us a synopsis?

It's a part of John 8 where Jesus is just answering questions being asked...Defending his claims by not really defending in that wonderful way he does. The Jews ask him, "Are you greater than our father Abraham, who is dead?" He answers, basically, "I do not honor myself, because that isn't the example I'm trying to set. It is my father who honors me, (Your God), You know him not, but I do. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see me." Jews answer, "But you aren't even fifty yet...How can Abraham have seen you?" Wait for it...."Before Abraham was, I am." Side note: I misquoted. Replace truely truely with verily verily.

Ah; no "thison" in there, but I'll read the chapter--don't remember a "thison..."

Anyway, you see that "misquoting" is not mis-interpreting, yes? Who says "verily" anymore? Truly is truly a better word. imo.

Re: Understand I AM

Revelation 10 say's, "...And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Other versions say 'no delay/no more waiting'.....and even scholars who study w/ King James say 'no-delay' is correct.....but I have always 'imagined' that it could truely mean 'no time'/ time over/ done/ end of all things. A lot of people refuse to even try to wrap thier mind around such a concept....'no time' God that 'just is' 'I AM'. just 'I Am'. Not I am this, or I am that, or I am going here, I am going there. just.....I AM. Stop. Stop.

Re: Understand I AM

I've come to see this as "understand I AM" is not "I will be" or " I was" or "I have been," in other words, I AM NOW.

Re: Understand I AM

The Hebrew Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh is said to be better understood as "I will be that I will be" because of the tense of the Hebrew word

The Septuagint reads "Ego Eimi Ho On"..I Am the Exist or I am The Existing One perhaps
