I'd like to answer this question with a "no" but if I'm honest I'd have to admit that I live as close to God as I really want to. If I really wanted to be closer to God, I'd get closer to God.

That is true as well. However, I would also state that the closer one starts living with God, the closer they will want to become, and therefore a state of satisfaction in one's walk with God is a sign of carnality.

I didn't say I was really satisfied but I'm not dissatisfied enough to do anything about it. I guess that is carnality if I'm honest.

although I have been turning off the computer lately to spend some time in the Word.

Realizing there is a battle between my flesh and my spirit man... then I think this statement needs even more unpacking.

I am no where near as close as my soul desires.... and I'm much more closer than my flesh wants..... the question daily is who does my spirit allow to win.
