Reading a couple of book on Azusa street and...
I'm convinced we're missing it (and Him) all the way around. Prayer was the big thing. When personality became exalted it fizzled out.
General Conference - why isn't there a prayer meeting for about three days? How many things will need voting on after three days of prayer? Yeah, i know some of us have 24/7 prayer (Alexandria) and there are non-Apostolics (IHOP/Mike Bickle - NAR Dominionists/New Agers most notably) who do as well, but what happens if meeting God was the focus? Ironically both William Seymour and Maria Woodsworth-Etter preached that about 100 years from their time (around 1912-13) there would be a greater move of God than what happened at Azusa/LA. something else I noticed is many of the people involved with Azusa were those in the holiness movement. Not saying it's the reason, just found that interesting. Anyway, to come back from the rabbit trails I was dogging, prayer is the big thing. We've lost that. If we ever return to it and love become a part of us again it'll set the world on fire again. We'll see more of what happened at Azusa and in the Phillipines - people will get close to the building where the meeting is and they'll begin to speak in tongues. Men will be convicted my the Spirit and pray through on their own. The more we pray the less we get in God's way. Yes, He uses our hands, feet and mouth, but most of the time we draw attention to ourselves and away from Him in the process. |

Ha. Methodist holiness cancels out the fact that they were trinitarians.

Yes time with God is our most vital need. Add faith to it and we will have a mighty revival.

I have been watching IHOP's weekly meetings for several years. I have never seen ANYTHING that would identify him as a new age believer. |

I was on Andrew Stroms Forum for several years so I understand what "kundalini" is supposed to mean. Probably some years ago you could stick that to IHOP but not since I have been paying attention. By the way almost ALL the Pentecostal Churches I have ever been in would be called "kundalini" by Andrew. |
