A New Pope

The Coptic Church has a history going back to the first century when St. Mark, companion and relative of Peter and author of the Gospel which bears his name took the message of Jesus to Egypt.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be a Christian in a country ruled by Islamic Terrorists like the Muslim Brotherhood?

Early first century believers were persecuted by the established Jewish religion and then by the Roman government. We have not seen persecution like that here but we do see it in different ways.

We see government trying to force Roman Catholic institutions to violate their religious beliefs by providing contraception and abortions. We see it in our "politically correct" rules by government which do not allow "Christmas" music and references to Christmas and Easter in our schools but promotion of Kwanzaa and the promotion of the LBGT agenda and promotion of the idea that Islam is a religion of peace.

The Pope referenced in this thread is the Pope of the Coptic Church,
not the Pope of the UPC or of the RCC.
