What's in it for you?

Why is it important to you for people to believe what you believe in? Let's focus on the core values of the faith for a moment, and not the other stuff. Why is it important to you that someone else believe in Christianity? What do you hope to gain by convincing someone else of the Christian faith? Are you motivated by possibly being rewarded by God for a job well done if you convince someone of your faith? Or are you motivated by the fear of going to hell if you don't convince someone of your Christian faith? Again, what's in it for you to be so evangelistic?

Jam 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
I hope to gain a brother (or sister) in the faith. Thats all. Not trying to earn "points" with Jesus. Not trying to earn my way to heaven. Just trying to do what James said to do. Gaining a brother or sister is reward enough.

I want people to know the same joy and peace that the Lord has given me, and to have an eternal destination with Christ.

I desire that each and every soul would come to a knowledge of the mercy and love of Christ.

It is not a number, or a trophy on a shelf, but it is a desire to share what I have been given with as many people as I meet that they may know, and experience the love and compassion of our Savior in their own lives.
